Organized with passion by the 2024 Chinese New Year Gala Production Team, this event is brought to life by the dedication of over 150 Oxford students. Their collective effort ensures the Gala is not merely a show but a profound expression of China's cultural legacy and a conduit for global artistic unity.The evening’s program will feature an array of performances that embody the spirit of Chinese culture, from the melodious strains of Chinese folk music and graceful folk dances to the powerful Sichuan Opera and the martial prowess of Kung Fu demonstrations. Moreover, the Gala embraces the spirit of cultural exchange with a selection of international performances, including the heartfelt harmonies of the a cappella group “Out of the Blue,” contemporary band showcases, lively jazz dance numbers, and stirring operatic pieces.
